Just Missed

Attack Theatre travelled to Asheville, NC to perform El Amor Brujo with the Asheville Symphony to a receptive audience of 1,900 people.

Next on the tour, we travelled to St. Louis, MO for the Spring to Dance Festival where we performed with 29 other companies from around the nation.

In the final week of May, we performed our museum-based project, Some Assembly Required, at the Warhol Museum, and had a great late-night showing Byham Theater for PA Presenters conference.

Education

In May, Attack Theatre was busy in the schools with residencies and performances. As with all our education residencies, we worked with the individual schools to create tailor-made workshops for students. In addition to in-school performances, our movement residencies ranged from Integrating dance into the PE Curriculum (Avonworth and Mt Lebanon School Districts), Enhancing writing skills through dance (Canon-Macmillan School District), Creative Movement for Behavioral and Emotional Special Needs (Central Greene School District), Interpreting the visual arts through movement (Albert Gallatin Area School District, Bethel Park School District), Movement characterizations derived from literature (Central Greene School District). We also performed in our East End neighborhood at Winchester Thurston Lower School.

Thanks to our arts education partners - Gateway to the Arts, Arts Education Collaborative, and Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.
