Class begins with MOVE-MOVE, a guided, 45-minute sensory-physical warm up through movement. Responding to verbal prompts and improvisational scores, we move continuously for the duration, shifting through slower, meditative gestures and expansive, full-bodied expressions. These practices aim to support enlivenment, being with complexity, and embracing and embodying fuller versions of ourselves.

Following the warm up, +WOWEO EXPLORATIONS shares creative practices from Maree ReMalia’s project in-process, WITH OURSELVES, WITH EACH OTHER, a solo that invites audiences to collectively grieve and celebrate against all odds. Explorations may include: learning excerpts of choreography then using ‘exquisite pressure’ in small group collaborations to adapt and rearrange material, responding to prompts that have been used to generate movement and writing, or discovering vocal range with a mic!

No previous experience necessary, ages 16+; wear clothing comfortable for moving and bring a water bottle and journal.
