Simon Cummings
Cellist
Simon J.C. Cummings is a Pittsburgh-based cellist, composer, and teacher. He is a founding member of the cross-genre cello ensemble Cello Fury, with whom he has toured extensively and released three full-length albums. Simon frequently collaborates with Pittsburgh-based groups including Attack Theatre, Texture Contemporary Ballet, and Quantum Theatre. He teaches strings and music at The Ellis School and co-directs Cello Fury Rock Camp for Strings each summer. Simon is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and Pittsburgh CAPA.
